5 jackets upgrades to add to your wardrobe

Color blazer any color other than black. Not that black is not a staple, it is and should already be part of your wardrobe. This time feel free to play around with colors and even some print blazers as well. 

This will take a basic jeans and t-shirt look, to a more put together outfit. Making it perfect for running errands, to meeting up with your girls or guys friends for a whiskey & quick bite at the local pub. Add some jewelry and you’re good to go. 

Leather jacket. Try starting out with a good basics leather jacket. In a black or neutral color. Perfect the fall or that transitional weather when you need something just a little Heavier than a blazer. It is great for layering. It can elevate any outfit from day to night. Trying pairing with your favorite skirt. You will love it I promise. 

Denim. The classic! I love denim. It’s a must in everyone’s closet. Black and blue denim is where you want to be. But for you brave fashion divas out here, find a denim jacket with color or print or even one that is embellished. It will definitely be a showstopper everywhere you go. Play around with different looks with your denim jacket. Like different textures and layers. You will love it also.trust! 

The cardigan. Every girl at some point in their lives was made to wear that oh so white or whatever color sweater jacket you mom or grandma wanted you to wear. For whatever outting or school picture. It was definitely a staple in your wardrobe. We hated it then but we love them now! A nice midi length, long, cropped or whatever a good cardigan is still a staple for your closet. Today we have many more options as far as length, textures, colors, silhouettes and styles. In today’s culture, comfort fashion is part of our lives. 

And a good cardigan gives just that. Great for traveling or even a date night.

Last and definitely MAJOR get you a statement jacket. You can be a fashion allstar and have a statement jacket in every style I already mentioned. Or just start with something you just love and you have to have. A statement jacket can be in denim, leather, Sequence, fur….. the possibilities are endless. It’s fashion so whatever you get make sure it’s something fun and you love it. Fringe and stone embellishments always catch my eye. For those who are not ready to go too bold a nice print or extra flare to the details may be where you fall. Like in this look below.

Hey Royals,

I started an online boutique & marketplace where I sell clothing from different manufacturers and upcoming and coming fashion designers.

This has been a vision of mines for many years. Anyone who knows me know how much I had talked about opening my own fashion boutique. Ever since I was a little girl it has always been a dream of mines, to provide a place for women to shop beautiful clothing.

That vision as a kid for me never wavered but totally upgraded. As I got older and started approaching my pre-teenager years, part of my dream started to develop more into me being a fashion designer. I saw my self like a Tommy Hilfiger or a Vivienne Westwood, I even at time though Martha Stewart.

At the time there weren’t many black fashion designers that I knew about or seen. There was definitely a few black fashion brands like FUBU, Phat Farm, and Rocawear. But those styles weren’t really Me.

I was more of a CLUELESS, TLC, Mary J Blige, Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu Kinda girl, but also very couture at time. Pretty all over the place – I know. Lol.

I started creating clothing when I was pretty young. Started off making outfits for my Barbies, I probably did that up until I was like… you know what I kinda still do -lol. I collect Barbies and still have a few for play for when I play with my nieces.

Anyways, I have been working on an new collection, this will be my 2nd collection. A couple years ago I did my first s/s collection (see here) and now working on my f/w 2021.

Since the pandemic I am much further behind then I like, so I figured I will take you all along this journey with me. As I work towards my 2nd finish line, and complete this collection. You get to be my accountability partners in this.
